Emily Ding

I have over 14 years of experience teaching Chinese in Singapore, working with primary, secondary, and IB students. I am familiar with the requirements of Singapore’s local school curriculum, common examination formats, and the learning challenges students often face.

My lessons cover Chinese language fundamentals, vocabulary usage, reading comprehension, composition writing, oral communication, and examination skills. I tailor each learning plan according to the student’s proficiency level, school requirements, and individual learning goals.

I focus on helping students truly understand and apply the Chinese language rather than relying on rote memorisation. Over the years, I have taught students from different schools and at various ability levels, including IB students, with one of my students achieving a Grade 7 in IB Chinese.

Through clear, structured, and targeted teaching, I aim to help students improve their academic performance while developing more effective and sustainable Chinese learning strategies.
